Mite Champions in Fall Round Up
by posted 12/03/2008

Our Texas Aces Mite Doucette team completed an outstanding Thanksgiving weekend by taking the championship trophy at the Fall Round Up Tournament.  The weekend started with a victory over the visiting Houston Aeros and continued with preliminary round victories over the Ice Jets and Jr. Brahmas.  Both the offensive and defense units hustled all tournament long and the team never trailed in any of their games despite stiff competition in Game 3.  Congratulations to all of the boys and the coaches for a job well done! The team would like to extend a special thank you to all of the family and special friends that braved the early morning start times to come out and root the Mites to victory

Great job ACES!!

Aces Veteran Patrick Love Signs Junior A Contract
posted 07/28/2008

Texas Aces Midget Major AA Captain #11 Patrick Love has signed a contract with the Junior A Helena Bighorns.

The Bighorns have won their league (NORPAC) for 3 of the last 4 years and been to Nationals each year.  They also place over 90% of the players in NCAA D1 or NCAA D3 schools.  Another Aces veteran, Luke Beltrand, played with the Bighorns last year and will be attending St. John's University in Minnesota to play hockey next fall.

Patrick has played Midget Major AA for the Texas Aces, the last three years proving again that the key to success is not how much money you spend but your talent, how hard you are willing to work and having good coaching.

The Love family wishes to thank Alan May, Dave Nadolny, Craig Beltrand, Steve Demuth, Chris Leahy and Bill Rinker for all their help.  Patrick leaves for Helena, Montana at the end of August, but will be attending Aces practices during the month of August.

The entire Aces family wish Patrick lots of luck!
